Preparing for a move can be very difficult, especially if you have a lot of items of importance. Packing large furniture, antiques, and other fragile items can be nerveracking, as getting them in and out of your home is a challenge. With Bay - L.A. Express Moving, you don't have to worry! Whether you just need your furniture wrapped and prepared or you need packing service from scratch, we can help! We have all the supplies necessary to ensure your items are safe and sound during their transfer. We wrap your furniture in thick, padded moving blankets and then secure them tightly with tape and shrink wrap. Glass panels and other sensitive surfaces are reinforced with single or multiple layers of cardboard to ensure durability and safety while being moved. We also supply 20" wardrobe boxes to protect your clothing and other small items. These boxes can also be used to consolidate larger, loose items that are difficult to stack. If large and heavy items can be disassembled, we will do that and wrap the pieces individually, in order to ensure maximum safety relocating. Packing and Loading
Perhaps you did this one on your own, maybe even just partially. But if you enlist a full pack and move service, boxes are the first order of business. The crew will box all your smaller, loose items into 1.5, 3.0. and 4.5 cubic feet sized boxes. Fragile items such as fine china, kitchen breakables, and other delicate objects are boxed in double corrugated cardboard boxes and stuffed with packing paper.
Furniture is carefully wrapped in thick, padded moving blankets and secured with tape and shrink wrap. Glass panes and other sensitive surfaces are reinforced with one to several layers of cardboard over the blanket to ensure durability. Any objects with moving parts are secured or disassembled if need be, as well as any objects too big to move safely through the premises. Our pack and move services will ensure your items get where they need to be safe and sound.
Unpacking service
This is not to be confused with standard unloading procedures. We will stage and install all your furniture as it was when we collected it, and retrieve our blankets. Any items disassembled will be reassembled. Unpacking refers to opening all your boxes and placing each individual item packed into its place in your new home. It is a great feeling when your entire home is completely relocated one day after leaving, and for some, there is no other option. To avoid a conflict in scheduling, this is something that needs to be discussed prior to your moving date.
Fragile Item Sheilding
As mentioned previously, delicate objects and fine surfaces require a bit more thoughtfulness when being wrapped. For these and other fragile antiques, a careful series of padding and hard surfaces are layered and secured with special attention to the pressure keeping it together. This is known as "shielding".
Pianos
There are many different large and heavy items unique to each move, but the one that many are particularly concerned about is a piano. We move all size pianos to wherever they need to be. Grand and baby grand pianos simply need to be shielded, then turned on the side to a piano dolly. Piano dollies can support massive weight without breaking, making going up or down stairs several notes easier.
